Tesoro Compadre voted the UK's best beginners machine.
The Tesoro compadre is very easy to operate, great fun, super little coinshooter, It can reject unwanted targets such as foil and ring pulls, you will start finding coins instantly with the Compadre. Simply turn on, set the control to the targets you want to reject, Iron foil, pull tabs etc and search. Dont be put off by the lack of controls, this little machine is a coin magnet.
Aimed at the first time buyer, only having a combined on/off, discrimination control, it runs on one PP3 and is hard wired with a 5.25 ” Coil. This detector would suit the budding beginner as well as the more advanced detectorist.

Laser scout metal detecting machine
The Laser scout is ideal for all ages, first-class performer easily on par with the Rapier , again an analogue system very simlar to the old Tesoro silver sabre plus, with precise user discrimination and sensitivity settings.
The Scout is similar to the Rapier but without pinpoint mode and threshold control. The Scout comes with alkaline batteries and is fitted with an 8" polo coil. The Laser Scout is a simple switch on a go motion detector, simple in operation, high in performance. The Laser Scout is lightweight and easy to operate, as such it is ideal for both the newcomer to the hobby and the more experienced detectorist. Based on the original Silver Sabre circuitry the Scout continues the tradition delivering the goods on difficult sites.

Tesoro Cibola (Trident 1).
The Cibola is the very latest "red-hot" Tesoro, it's now called the Laser Trident 1 here in the UK,
Lightweight and easy to use with the equal power as machines double its price. Suitable for professionals or Beginners, works great on Roman sites watch this space.
The Trident I is designed for the treasure hunter who prefers simplicity when it comes to controls. The Trident runs at 14.3kHz frequency and is housed in the micro max control box. It comes as standard with a 9”x8” concentric monolithic coil and will also use any of the Lobo, Cibola, Vaquero or Tejon coils. The Trident I comes with a flip switch which enables the user to adjust the frequency from 14.3kHz to 14.5kHz or 14.7kHz.

The laser Rapier is a bit more expensive it's the last of the analogue machines, so is worth the extra, very sensitive to small gold and silver.

Black night Magpie.
The Baby of the Black Knight Range with true motion technology. Two operating modes, discriminating and all metal mode. Auto ground balance makes it stable in most conditions. As well as an audio target indication via either the built in speaker or the 1/8th" headphone socket, the Black Knight Magpie sports a visual LED indicator (lighting green when a good target is located).
Locating targets with the waterproof 8" search coil is made easy with the pinpoint facility. The three rotary controls on the control box adjust sensitivity, discrimination and volume. A low cost introduction to the hobby of metal detecting.
